AGM plants have been through a rigorous trial and assessment programme. They are:
'Mops' is a slow-growing evergreen conifer making a medium-sized shrub of bushy, rounded habit, with slender, paired dark green needles up to 3cm in length
'Beuvronensis' is a slow-growing evergreen shrub forming a broad dome, with paired, blue-green needles
P. sylvestris is a large evergreen tree to 25m, with the upper trunk and branches orange-brown, developing a picturesque, irregular outline with maturity. Twisted grey-green needles are borne in pairs. Cones 5cm in length
P. ponderosa is an evergreen conifer making a large tree with handsome, scaly brown bark. Needles dark green, to 25cm in length, mostly clustered at branch ends. Cones about 15cm in length
P. nigra subsp. laricio is a large evergreen tree to 40m, with an open crown and slender, dark grey-green needles in pairs. Cones ovoid, pale brown
'Glauca' is a bushy, spreading evergreen conifer making a slow-growing medium-sized shrub with blue-grey needles in bundles of five. Cones purple when young, 5cm in length
P. heldreichii is a narrowly conical evergreen tree with dense, bright deep green needles in pairs. Cones oval, blue in first year, ripening pale brown
P. pinea is an evergreen conifer making a round-topped evergreen tree with stiff, dark green needles to 15cm long. Cones rounded-ovoid, to 15cm long, shiny light brown. It will reach 15-20m when fully mature
Aurea Group consist of slow-growing, small, evergreen trees, the foliage bright golden-yellow in winter and spring, later dull blue-green
'Bonnie Bergman' is a dwarf conifer with a broadly conical outline. The blue-green, twisted needles are arranged in fives, and the young growth is pale silvery blue. Red, male flowers are conspicuous in summer; female flowers produce small green cones which turn brown in autumn and winter
