It is included in an evolving list of plants carefully researched and chosen by RHS experts. Divided into 3 groups these lists, linked below, are maintained by a team of RHS staff and are reviewed annually.
'Golden Hue' is a spreading, shrubby plant with lime-green foliage, orange-tipped in winter and numerous small clusters of amethyst, bell-shaped flowers from early summer to autumn
'C.D. Eason' is a dwarf, spreading evergreen shrub to 25cm in height, with dark green foliage and short racemes of magenta-pink flowers from early summer to autumn
' Rosy Chimes' is a dwarf, compact, evergreen shrub to about 15cm in height, with dark green foliage and short racemes of magenta-pink flowers from early summer to autumn
'Knap Hill Pink' is a dwarf evergreen shrub forming a mat of dark foliage up to 30cm tall, with magenta-pink flowers from mid summer to autumn
'Cindy' is a low, prostrate evergreen shrub to 20cm tall, forming a wide mat of dark foliage, with short spikes of purple flowers from early summer to autumn
'P.S. Patrick' is a dwarf evergreen shrub of upright growth making a mat of dark foliage to 50cm in height, with erect racemes of bright purple flowers in summer and early autumn
'Alba Minor' is a prostrate evergreen shrub forming a mat of bright green foliage, to 20cm tall, with short racemes of white flowers opening from early summer to late autumn
E. cinerea is a compact, evergreen shrub with tiny, narrow, dark green leaves. Short sprays of small, pink, purple or white, urn-shaped flowers are produced from early summer to early autumn
'Eden Valley' is a low, prostrate evergreen shrub forming a mat of foliage up to 50cm in width. Flowers bright lilac-pink with a paler base, from summer to autumn
'Velvet Night' is a dwarf evergreen shrub making a mat of dark foliage to 20cm in height, with deep blackish-purple flowers in racemes in summer and early autumn
