Babylonstoren is a historic South African fruit and wine farm, offering a vibrant Mourvèdre Rosé wine in partnership with the RHS
Located in the premier wine-growing region of South Africa’s Cape Winelands and set against the backdrop of the scenic Simonsberg Mountain, Babylonstoren has become a popular destination for visitors from around the world and is best known for its magnificent formal garden.
Inspired by the historic company’s garden in Cape Town, the formal fruit and vegetable garden is at the heart of Babylonstoren. The farm also boasts a healing garden, historic rose and fruit cultivars, a splendid succulent collection, a kitchen garden, a greenhouse with spices, thousands of clivias and an exotic cycad collection.
Babylonstoren is proud to be acknowledged as an official RHS Partner Garden in South Africa. Partnering with the RHS, Babylonstoren has created a fresh rosé, which is the official rosé of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2023. The wine will be harvested and bottled a few weeks before the show, which means visitors will be the first to sip on the 2023 vintage.
Babylonstoren Mourvèdre Rosé is a vibrant, dry wine in a sophisticated salmon colour with delicious hints of raspberries and rose petals. A single sip gives flavours of creamy rhubarb, the sweet freshness of watermelon and a subtle punch of acidity.
The rosé wine is sold in the RHS Garden Centres at RHS Garden Wisley, RHS Garden Harlow Carr and RHS Garden Bridgewater.
It is also available direct from Babylonstoren’s friends in the UK, The Newt in Somerset, as well as a variety of independent wine stores and hospitality outlets throughout the UK.
