Sitting Spiritually

Sitting Spiritually handcrafts bespoke garden swing seats, benches and rope swings designed and built for comfort and longevity

Sitting Spiritually swing
Founded by Martin Young in 2004, Sitting Spiritually produces a stunning range of outdoor furniture. The only bespoke wooden swing seat, rope swing, and bench maker endorsed by the RHS, these handmade creations are designed to suit many garden styles and sizes.

From behind the doors of Sitting Spiritually’s Lyme Regis workshop, each garden seat is handmade by a team of master craftsmen using traditional woodworking and joinery techniques and using only the finest FSC-certified timbers.

There’s a wide variety of choice in the Sitting Spiritually garden furniture range endorsed by the RHS. The RHS Serenity Swing Seat Range is made in western red cedar, and, as part of the RHS agreement, Sitting Spiritually offers the Heart Back style across all its ranges in oak, cedar and painted accoya.

It also produces the classic Knole Garden bench, the Four Seasons bench in oak with a choice of four seasonal hand-carved flower carvings, and traditional rope swings.

Experience these beautifully crafted seats in the glorious natural surroundings of one of the RHS Gardens – RHS Garden Wisley in Surrey, RHS Garden Harlow Carr in North Yorkshire, RHS Garden Bridgewater in Greater Manchester or RHS Garden Rosemoor in Devon.

Sitting Spiritually seats can also be found in one of many locations across the UK, including the Sitting Spiritually show garden in Lyme Regis.
