Visitors got up close to their favourite celebrities at the show's Festival Theatre. The show featured a range of talks and events with TV regulars including Alan Titchmarsh, Mary Berry, Carol Klein to name but a few.

Budding cooks made a beeline for The Kitchen Garden Theatre, situated in the Festival of Food and Drink Pavilion. Valentine Warner, Mark Diacono and Mary Berry provided expert advice and inspiration, surrounded by stalls selling seasonal and local produce.

The Floral Marquee is the show's horticultural HQ. Show-goers saw eye-popping displays of plants and got first-hand growing tips from some of the country's best nurserymen and women.

A show first, Villaggio Verde's stunning garden, The Garden of Romance, was transformed into a 'floral theatre' after judging - visitors could enter the garden and participate in Grow Your Own Wedding workshops with TV florist Jonathan Moseley.

A perennial favourite of gardeners up and down the country, nurserywoman and TV presenter Carol Klein is a show regular. BBC coverage of the show was on the Friday night (and on BBC iPlayer).

Celebrating 400 years since the passing of the bard, 11 schools from across the surrounding counties designed and built Shakespeare-themed gardens for this year's show, each brimming with imagination and enthusiasm.

Get going, get growing – the straight-talking platform to get gardening info quick, with daily Q&A sessions. Taking part were gardening personalities including Joe Swift, Jim Buttress and Christine Walkden.

Horticultural advice, inspiration and information on gardens and plants from around the world was on offer at the RHS Potting Bench, situated in the heart of the Floral Marquee.

There were plenty of opportunities for retail therapy... show visitors were spoilt for choice when it came to plants, with everything from tiny alpines to bold bulbs, fruit trees and cottage garden favourites to provide temptation – not to mention craft, food and tools too.

There was no problem too big or too small for our friendly RHS advisors, who were on hand to answer gardening queries in the Floral Marquee.
