About the garden
The Summer Breeze border is a celebration of the elusive British summer. A wash of ornamental grasses sway in the warm June breeze, punctuated by a dramatic selection of perennials. The colour palette transitions from warm yellows and oranges, evocative of long summer evenings, through to cooler blues and indigos that signal the oncoming night. A serpentine band of tall grasses flows through the design, which describes the sun and moon’s journey through the sky and creates a dramatic backdrop to the border. Two opposing islands of clipped topiary bookend the bed, creating mass and a sense of permanence in contrast to the frothy grasses. All Show Gardens
