The Thrive Reflective Mind Garden

Created to support Thrive – the gardening for health charity – this is a space to relax, retreat and meditate. A large statue, depicting the serene image of a face, emerges from the background foliage and forms a stunning centrepiece. It is partially obscured by trees at certain points in the garden, revealing itself as the viewer’s perspective shifts.

The statue is reflected in an infinity pool, which sits next to a sunken seating area, and represents our ability to notice and reflect on our own thoughts and feelings – the practice of mindfulness.

The planting combines a rich mix of cream, bronze and coppery tones with purples and silverblue foliage that link to the verdigris colours in the statue and create a harmonious feeling in the space.
