Celebrations for The Queen's 90th birthday

Floral arch

In celebration of HM The Queen's 90th birthday, the RHS installed a magnificent floral arch at the Bull Ring Gate entrance to the show. Made with flowers donated by British growers, the arch was designed by leading floral designer Shane Connolly and installed with the help of students from UK floristry colleges. A second floral arch adorned the London Gate.

Grand Mirror Form

Grand mirror formPatrick Hurst's original piece of contemporary sculpture stood in front of the Royal Hospital building and created a mirrored exterior to camouflage the interior's true form - like a portal to another reality. Supported by Professional Assured Financial Services.

We had a makeover for 2016. A visit to our new oak barn and courtyard gave visitors the chance to find out more about our Greening Grey Britain campaign. In addition we had RHS gifts plus information about membership, science and gardening holidays.

More on show

floral tunnel installationThis year's Tunnel Installation celebrated the beauty of fresh roses. Walking through the tunnel invoked the romance and abundance of the British summer. After the show, the roses will be dried, to be incorporated into new artworks by designer Joseph Massie.
