Grow Cardiff and The Dusty Shed

Members of the Dusty Shed, a group based around the Men in Sheds initiative and members of Grow Cardiff community gardens worked together to create this garden. It celebrates up-cycling,  growing edible produce, attracting wildlife and engaging children, and all without spending any money.

Our productive space Show Feature celebrates the theme of 'myths and legends' and through it we hope to inspire visitors to join with others to create a shared growing space. The castle and peasant's cottage are made from upcycled materials, pallets and our fellow citizens' rubbish. Together we demonstrate what can be achieved when local people come together to share their  enthusiasm for design and growing in a small space on a very limited budget.
