Shelter from the Storm

Show Gardens
Inspired by the landscape, the standing stones and ancient monuments of Wales, as well as the myths, legends and people, the garden evokes the mystery and atmosphere of the country’s ancient wild places.

The black uprights represent standing stones, mountains and ancient monuments, which surround and offer spiritual protection in much the same way as today’s religious buildings provide spiritual shelter in an uncertain world.

The lush turf symbolises  the softer, rolling green hills and valleys for which Wales is renowned. The daffodils, synonymous with Wales, represent that country’s people.
