Inspiring displays and arrangements created by professional florists and floristry colleges
The circus came to town - the great floristry circus, that is - with displays and arrangements from some of the country’s finest florists. There was a chance to have a photo taken with a floral mermaid at Jane Packer’s sideshow display and marvel at McKinlay Gibson’s elephant in a floral circus ring.
Floristry college competition
Congratulations go to Hadlow College for winning Best Hampton Court Floristry College of the Year 2014. The floristry competition will continue at RHS Flower Show Tatton Park and winners will get the chance to exhibit at RHS Chelsea Flower Show next year, vying to win the prestigious title of RHS Chelsea Floristry College of the Year 2015.
Best Professional Floristry Exhibit
McKinlay Gibson won the award for Best Professional Floristry Exhibit with a colourful and imaginative display of a floral performing circus elephant standing upon a decorative drum. This display fit well in the circus theme of the 2014 Festival of Roses and Floristry. Here the florists proudly collect their award from Sir Nicholas Bacon.
