The inspiration for Brownfield Beauty came from designer Tristen Knight’s passion for 19th and early 20th-century industrial architecture on brownfield sites. It showed that these forgotten and unloved spaces can be resurrected to become gardens of great distinction and beauty.
The garden formed part of a larger external courtyard area of a redeveloped industrial building that had been converted into luxury flats. The industrial and rustic space created somewhere for residents to meet and socialise, with the planting and mock rill water feature generating a relaxing atmosphere.
