Tutors: Sheila Dearing (RHS Team) and Ina Smith (Bicton College). Do you have a new garden, or want to change your existing one but have no idea where to begin ? This very practical day will begin with a walk to illustrate design ideas and how they can be adapted to your own garden. After lunch you will learn how to survey and measure small, marked out example gardens, arrange a mixture of potted plants, shrubs and trees and garden features in a variety of planting designs and look at planting combinations. Please bring a notepad and pen, camera if you wish and photographs of your own garden.
