Join us to celebrate the best of autumn with this weekend-long event to celebrate all that’s wonderful about trees. With wood products, tours and tree planting demonstrations, there’s a whole array woodland inspiration to be discovered.
 
Talks will be taking places throughout the weekend where you can come and find out about which trees to choose for your garden; for bark interest, for birds, for colour, for flower and get your questions answered by the RHS team.
 
Come and see Shire horses 10am – 4pm in our woodland and find out about the old fashioned practice of logging on site.
 
Children will also have a chance to learn how to age trees with a tape measure and a formula.
 
Explore our woodland with a fact finding forest trail designed by our RHS Woodland team.
 
RHS Garden Advisor Martin Fish and our RHS experts will be on hand with a series of specialist talks about how to get the best out of trees

Younger members of the family can make their own willow wand while mum and dad meet expert STIHL staff who will be giving in-depth product demonstrations of their Compact Cordless System, which includes a chainsaw, hedge trimmer, leaf blower and grass trimmer.  STIHL will also be sharing their knowledge and top tips.
 
The Yorkshire Carver will be here for 3 days transforming a tree destined for the chop in our Logness monster Children’s play area, you can watch him carving a wonderful totem inspired by Harlow Carr for all to enjoy in the woodland throughout the event.

Purchase locally produced wooden products and enjoy demonstrations of a range of wood working techniques including demonstrations from:

Willow wand workshops

Something for the smaller members of the family! Learn how to handcraft your very own wand out of willow to take home with you as a memory of your day
