Explore the RHS photography collection with our Lindley Live drop-in talk View of an English Garden – Carroll Perkins' Lantern Slide Collection in the RHS Lindley Library.

Through these beautiful 1930s hand-coloured glass lantern slides by Eleanor Malby, discover more about the gardens depicted; the American Edith Carroll Perkins, who commissioned the photographs; and her unexpected connection to the poet T.S. Eliot.

Lindley Live is a series of drop-in lunchtime talks in the RHS Lindley Library, where you can get a 15-minute introduction to the treasures of our library collection to liven up your lunch break.

Accessibility

There is step-free access into the main RHS building and Library reception area via a ramped entrance. The Upper Reading Room may be accessed by three steps with a handrail for support, or via a staff-operated lift in the library reception area. We do not have accessible toilets onsite.
