The first half of this RHS Garden Harlow Carr talk is an overview of Japanese gardens, types, and styles with many examples of gardens in both Japan and the UK.  The second half is about the creating of Andy's own garden and giving a practical guide and discussing how he went from a large lawned area to a Japanese style garden over six years. He will discuss general design principles and construction details of the various features found in Japanese gardens.

Speaker:  Andy Bolton (Japanese Garden Society)
