The RHS is keen to support new gardeners to continue to enjoy and succeed in their gardens. This course covers the fundamentals of gardening, and includes both indoor learning and practical elements, with the opportunity to ask as many questions as you need.

You will take a seasonal walk around the RHS Garden Rosemoor, finding out what needs to be done in your garden at this time of year. You will learn about early autumn tasks to prepare your garden for the winter, how to collect, save and sow fresh seed, mulching, autumn interest and division of perennials.

This is the fourth of four one-day courses, designed to help you make the most of your garden throughout the year. Each day is stand-alone or can be attended as a series.

Please bring with you:
  • Your booking reference number
  • A notebook and pencil to make notes
  • Camera (or mobile phone for photos)
  • Secateurs if you have them
Please wear clothes and footwear suitable for the weather on the day as this workshop will include both indoor and outdoor walks and activities.

Lunch and refreshments included.

Tutor: Ian Smith
