‘Problem places’ may be a sunny spot with free draining soil, a boggy area in shade or a windswept hillside. This RHS Garden Bridgewater, workshop considers different types of difficult planting locations alongside strategies to make these areas more hospitable for healthy plant growth, such as methods to improve drainage and soil structure.  We then consider which plants will thrive in these difficult situations, and how climate change may influence our plant selection. This course will be held predominantly in the Learning Studios, but include a short walk around the garden to look at different planting combinations in differing garden environments.

Tea and coffee will be available throughout the workshop.

Tutor: Anne Gunning
