    Climbers

Climbers are such an important part of any garden planting – softening structures (or hiding ugly structures), creating height, adding colour. They give you a whole new plane to fill with plants!

In this workshop, Viv will be looking at clematis, roses, wisteria, jasmine and some of the more unusual perennial and annual choices to add to your garden. There will be tips on how to combine them, how to support them and techniques for pruning and training.

After a break for tea and cake you will head out into the Garden where Viv will show you examples of how and where climbers are used at Rosemoor. At the end of the session you will take home some plants and/or a book about climbers, depending on the season and what is most suitable at the time.

Please bring with you:
  • Your booking reference number
  • A notebook and pencil to make notes
  • Camera or mobile phone for photos if you wish
Please wear clothes and footwear suitable for the weather on the day. Parts of this workshop will be taking place both indoors and outside.

Tea, coffee and cake included.

Tutor: Viv Hunt
