Discover the world of calligraphy, at this new workshop as part of our winter series of Lindley Lates.

First we will find inspiration within the Library's botancial art collection, with curator Charlotte. Get up close to some beautiful examples of calligraphy, in the form of our Royal Signature Paintings.

Then, try your hand at the skill under the guidance of artist Stephanie Gill. Learn the tools required for calligraphy and the key techniques to produce your own artwork.

Stephanie is the artist behind Studio Gill, specialising in the craft of Calligraphy and Botanical Drawing. All skill levels welcome and materials provided. Please note the accessibility limitations of the venue.

There is step-free access into the main RHS building and Library reception area via a ramped entrance. The Upper Reading Room may be accessed by three steps with a handrail for support, or via a staff-operated lift in the library reception area. We do not have accessible toilets onsite.
