With gardening, horticulture and education firmly at the heart of what we do, the Absolute Beginners series of workshops has been designed and developed by the RHS for anyone who is new to gardening and keen to learn more.

Water Capture and Conservation will discuss the challenges of watering and how we can be more efficient and sustainable with our watering practices, to save you time and money. We will consider why it is important to conserve water and methods to do this in your own garden. You will be guided to think about planning now for next summer, with water conservation in mind while growing happy and healthy plants.

These workshops will be taught by Ian Smith, RHS Garden Advisor, who brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience to ensure that you leave the session feeling more confident at gardening and with skills that you can go home and put into practice straight away.

Please bring with you:
  • Your booking reference number
  • A notebook and pencil to make notes
  • Camera (or mobile phone for photos)
All materials provided. Tea/coffee included.

Tutor: Ian Smith
