In 2024, the London Open Gardens event, run by London Parks and Gardens, celebrates its 25th anniversary. This special event gives everyone a unique chance to visit more than 100 of London’s iconic secret squares, community allotments, special historical gardens, exquisite roof spaces, rewilded urban oases and horticultural gems for one special weekend, 8–9 June 2024.

London Open Gardens provides access to those gardens usually closed to the public and is an opportunity to find some hidden gems for even the most experienced garden visitor. Gardens opening in support of this event include Barbican Wildlife Garden, Brockwell Park Community Greenhouses, Eaton Square, Eversheds Sutherland Rooftop Garden, the Royal College of Physicians Medicine Garden, the Hyde Park Square and 25 Cannon Street a rooftop garden.

New, or returning gardens for 2024 include the Charterhouse Garden, planted out in Tudor times and situated on the edge of the city; the Cloth Fair Hidden Garden behind the iconic 900-year-old St Bartholomew – the oldest church in London; Gloucester Square with its impressive new playground and community gardens; and the Spurgeon Estate a community garden in Lambeth.

Partnering with London Parks and Gardens, the charity which protects London parks, we are delighted to be able to offer an exclusive adult weekend entrance ticket for just £17 (normal price £22) to encourage RHS members and friends to discover these urban open spaces for themselves*. Children under 12 go free.

Please note: London Parks and Gardens is a third party. When booking tickets online you are leaving the RHS website, and all bookings will be subject to London Parks and Gardens’ terms and conditions and privacy policy.

All proceeds from the event go to support and protect London’s greenspaces, with profits being shared with London’s participating community gardens.

*Additional booking fee applies.
