Celebrate one of RHS Garden Rosemoor's most popular plant collections – the rose. This workshop offers the opportunity to think about adding new roses to your garden and to find out how to get the very best out of them.
While winter may not be the time for admiring our roses, it is certainly an important time to be thinking about them. It is a great time of year for planting, and also an important time for training and maintaining your roses.
This afternoon is all about sharing a passion for roses. Viv will talk you through choosing and planting roses in different positions and situations, pruning and training techniques for climbers, ramblers, shrub and bush roses, and discuss common problems such as dealing with pest and disease problems.
As well as a session in the classroom, part of the afternoon will be spent outside in the Rose Garden, looking at the varieties planted at Rosemoor, finding out how they are maintained, and seeking inspiration from the forms and training techniques used.
Included in the workshop price will be either a book or a related plant / planting project for you to take home to continue your journey with roses.
Please bring with you:
