A unique creative workshop that explores the world of Botanical Dyes and Nature’s Colours.

Learn to cultivate your own dye garden and create stunning colour palettes from seasonal plants such as marigolds, chamomile, cosmos, and many more.

Within this workshop, you will explore the art of natural dyeing and the magical world of botanical colour. You will discover the meanings behind an array of natural colours, how these colours work within specific areas of the home and gain insight into interior colour and pattern trends predicted for 2025. Using natural inks and dyes, you will be guided on how to create botanical-inspired patterns onto fabric using techniques such as stencil and block printing, shibori dyeing and a variety of different hand painting techniques.

You will then have the opportunity to design and create your very own unique on-trend cushion to take home.

The workshop is led by artist and designer Sarah Pardoe, owner of Studio Salinger, who brings over two decades of experience in design, colour theory and creative direction for the homeware, fashion and textiles industry. Studio Salinger is a local creative studio producing art, textiles and homeware products using handcrafted and historical techniques that honour nature and folklore.

This workshop promises an enchanting journey into the world of botanical dyes. Don’t miss this chance to bring the beauty of nature into your home!

This workshop is open to all adults, no experience is required and would make an ideal Christmas gift. Tea and coffee provided throughout the workshop.

Tutor: Sarah Pardoe - Studio Salinger.
