    Border renovation

Autumn is a great time to revisit your borders and think about areas for rejuvenation and improvement. Without some regular renovation, garden borders can become tired and lacklustre. The most thuggish plants take over, and delicate or short-lived plants quietly disappear.

This workshop will look at some techniques to give your garden a makeover. We will cover methods of dividing or thinning herbaceous perennials, pruning and crown-raising shrubs and trees, and controlling self-seeders before they take over your garden! You will then be given advise on how to draw up a simple border plan and develop ideas for planting to give year-round colour.

Included in the workshop price will be some garden design related goodies or plant division for you to take home to continue your journey with border renovation.

Please bring with you:
  • Your booking reference number
  • A notebook and pencil to make notes
  • Camera or mobile phone for photos if you wish
Please wear clothes and footwear suitable for the weather on the day. Parts of this workshop will be taking place both indoors and outside.

Tea, coffee and cake included.

Tutor: Viv Hunt
