Join local artist Helen Rubinstein and start your autumnal sketchbook in this full day workshop, make observations of seasonal changes and favourites. During this workshop you will mainly use watercolour to capture and create. 

Explore the artistic possibilities - whether or not you're a novice or looking to refine your skills, this workshop is suitable for all levels.

Arrival Information:
  • Please arrive 15 mins before the start of the workshop to allow time to register your arrival and make your way to the classroom. 
  • This workshop will take place in the Clore Learning Centre, which is located at the top of the hill, adjacent to the Gardeners Rest Restaurant. 

For this workshop:
  • There will be tea/coffee available throughout.
  • You are welcome to bring along a packed lunch or the restaurant will be open from 10:30am to purchase food/refreshments. Please note that the restaurant can get busy during peak times, and it may be a good idea to pre-order upon your arrival.
  • You are welcome to stay in the gardens afterwards should you wish to have a wander round.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own watercolour paints, paper, pens, and brushes:
  • Cold press (medium surface) watercolour paper.
  • Wide Flat brush
  • Round brushes size 10 & 6
  • Watercolours
  • Water pot
  • Kitchen roll
  • Board to work on
  • Any card/paper that you might like to use to decorate the outside of your sketchbook
 
  • For those in need, Helen graciously provides materials for borrowing, ensuring everyone can fully participate in this creative experience.
