    Winter interest

Explore what makes a winter garden exciting and interesting at this time of year. We will look at the shrubs and trees that provide interest with their scent, colour and form in the depths of winter. There will be advice on what to grow in your own garden, big or small, how to maintain and prune your plants for winter inteest, and how to use cut foliage for long lasting displays indoors.

Viv will take you through different areas of the garden to explore what is looking good this season and, after warming up with coffee and cake, will demonstrate how to use the foliage and stems for winter arrangements.

Included in the workshop price will be either a book or a related plant / planting project to encourage you to continue your interest in winter planting beyond this session.

Please bring with you:
  • Your booking reference number
  • A notebook and pencil to make notes
  • Camera or mobile phone for photos if you wish
Please wear clothes and footwear suitable for the weather on the day. Parts of this workshop will be taking place both indoors and outside and it could be cold, wet or both.

Tea, coffee and cake included.

Tutor: Viv Hunt
