Many early summer flowering shrubs and trees require pruning at this time of year to ensure their longevity and to maximise their performance for years to come. This talk and demonstration by expert RHS staff will teach you the theory behind pruning shrubs in the summer along with vital pruning principles which will allow your plants to be at their best for the years ahead. General maintenance and pruning shrubs and climbers such as Deutzia, Philadelphus, Spirea and Wisteria will be covered. This session will involve walking outdoors and practical demonstrations, so please come prepared with suitable footwear and clothing.
