Parkinson’s UK – A Garden for Every Parkinson’s Journey

A garden for people with Parkinson’s and their loved ones to enjoy while waiting for outpatient care at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, a Parkinson’s Centre of Excellence, where the garden will be relocated.

Designed by Arit Anderson, the garden is filled with joyful colour and stunning structures, including a twisting ‘hand-rill’ and a curvaceous night-time shelter. Capturing the hearts of both visitors and audiences alike, the planting moves from vibrant and fun to soothing greens and whites.

Trussell’s Together Garden

Inspired by the power of togetherness, this garden is a space for connection and reflection. It captures the journey of support at food banks and tells the story of how we can end hunger in the UK.

With an intriguing shallow pool that disappears at the push of a button to create an expanded social area, this garden is filled with beautiful planting and colour. The garden is being relocated to Strabane Foodbank, part of the Trussell Trust community in Northern Ireland.

Alzheimer’s Society: Microbes and Minds Garden

The garden raises awareness of the growing evidence linking gut microbiome health with brain function – an exciting and timely area of research.

With warm, glossy walls and a quiet bench to sit and admire the central apple tree, this garden tells the story of apple cider vinegar and its benefits for gut health. The garden will be relocated to a Hallmark Luxury Care Home for residents, their loved ones and people living with dementia.

People’s Choice Best All About Plants Garden

The Bat Conservation Trust’s Nocturnal Garden

A naturalistic garden that shows how easy it is to grow plants and incorporate other features that support bats and other nocturnal wildlife, with bat-inspired design and expert tips for UK gardeners.

The striking, wooden sculpture of a bat by artist Tach Pollard looks down on the space, which is filled with pretty planting. The garden is being relocated to Clydach Community Gardens in Swansea, a passionate local gardening group with a strong interest in planting for bats and dark sky standards.
