The Main Borders feature spectacular plantings of herbaceous perennials, grasses, bulbs and shrubs, designed to look amazing throughout the summer and into autumn.

Running the length of Harlow Carr's garden is the Streamside garden which, from spring, explodes with colour and a lush carpet of flowers and foliage, protected by the Woodland beyond.

Plant of the month

Malus sargentii (crab apple) is our plant of the month for September. It has a bumper crop of berries this year - see it at the bottom of the Main Borders.
