A medium to large-sized, evergreen orchid with linear, 90cm long and 2-3cm wide, dark-green, leathery leaves. Egg shaped pseudobulbs are covered with wider, leaf-bearing basal sheaths. Upright flowering stems emerge from the base of young, mature pseudobulbs in winter and spring and reach up to 90cm tall. Each stem bears up to ten flowers. The flowers are greenish-yellow, with a pink pattern around the lower edge of the lip. Flowers are long-lasting, measuring up to 10cm across
