Valeria Valkova An epiphytic, sympodial, warm to cool growing orchid, from humid rainforests, in Costa Rica and Panama. Bearing ovoid, spineless pseudobulbs, each carrying 4 to 5, elliptic-lanceolate leaves, up to 40cm in height, which are shed in winter. Multiple flower stems to 9cm high, each carrying a single green, pink and white, fragrant flower to 6.5cm across, appear in spring from the bases of the previous year’s pseudobulbs.
