A large, clump-forming deciduous perennial to 80cm high and up to 1.8m across. Leaves are glossy mid green, heart-shaped and slightly cupped, with deeply impressed veins. Produces loose clusters of tubular, near white flowers with faint pale purple streaks, on upright stems to 1.5m high in summer
