Microcachrys tetragona

A dwarf, rare, low-growing fairly hardy evergreen shrub or small conifer to around 60cm in height, with arching branches covered in scaley green leaves. Small, conspicuous red male or female flowers appear on the ends of the stems, followed by strawberry red coloured egg-shaped fruit. An unusual addition to a large pot or container or works well if left to tumble over a wall or rockery
