Grass Like
Clump-forming, deciduous grass, to 2m tall, with sturdy, upright stems bearing narrow, arching, green leaves which turn golden-orange in autumn, fading to pale golden-brown in winter. Feathery flower panicles open pinkish-red in late summer and early autumn, fading to silver-white and remaining on the plant over winter
