A dwarf perennial bulb, to 12cm high. Leaves are almost oblong, and green with a grey bloom, with margins held flat together at the base or slightly rolled on one side. Large, nodding white flowers are produced in late winter, with inner petals marked with a thick, almost flat, sharply pointed v shape at the tip

Cultivation
