A clump-forming, semi-evergreen perennial, to 25cm high in flower, forming a mound of shallowly lobed green leaves with black blotches in the centre. Leaves tint copper and red in winter. Small, starry pale pink flowers open from pink buds, held on upright stems above the foliage in spring
