A mat-forming, evergreen succulent producing fleshy rosettes in dense clusters, the spoon-shaped, bright lime green leaves, flushed orange-red in summer, are edged with silvery-white hairs. Tall spikes of starry pale pink flowers produced from mature rosettes, die off after flowering in summer and are replaced by new offsets
