A perennial bulb, to around 12cm high, with narrow, grey-green leaves with incurved margins. Double white flowers are produced in late winter, with curving outer petals, and inner petals marked with a small, dark green inverted 'v' at the tip and a paler green blotch at the base. Flowers are held upright when first opening, becoming nodding as they mature
