A slow-growing, deciduous Japanese maple about 2.5m tall, with a strongly cascading habit forming a dome at maturity. Leaves have 7 to 9-lobes, are finely dissected and very narrow, emerging pale green edged red, in spring, becoming bright green in summer, then turning gold with an occasional splash of crimson in autumn

How to Grow

Cultivation

Grow in any moisture-retentive, well-drained soil in a sheltered position. Leaf colour is best in partial shade, although full sun can be tolerated if soil is reliably moist. Leaf scorch can be caused by lack of soil moisture or excessive exposure. See Japanese maples cultivation
