Outdoors, grow in well-drained soil against a warm and sheltered wall in sun or partial shade; tie in shoots to their supports until they twine. In cold areas grow under glass in peat-free, loam-based potting compost with added extra grit; position in bright, filtered light, watering freely in the growing season, moderately at other times
