A mat-forming, evergreen succulent producing small, fleshy rosettes, in dense cushions, with spoon-shaped, plum-purple leaves, becoming paler in colour during summer, and edged with fine silvery-white hairs. Tall spikes of starry pink flowers produced from mature rosettes, die off after flowering in summer and are replaced by new offsets

Cultivation
