An evergreen perennial up to 60cm high in flower, forming a dense clump of upright, narrow green leaves which turn shades of gold in summer, with tints of deep orange and dark red in winter. In late spring and early summer produces open sprays of small, white flowers just above the foliage, followed by orange berries in autumn

How to grow
Cultivation
Grow in moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil in full sun. Needs a warm sunny position and a dry mulch for protection in winter
