A clump-forming deciduous perennial to around 45cm high and 1m wide. Leaves are ovate and glossy, yellow-green maturing to green, with a narrow white margin and deeply impressed veins. Produces loose clusters of near white flowers lightly streaked with pale purple, on upright stems in summer
