A mat-forming, evergreen succulent producing fleshy rosettes to 5cm across, the spoon-shaped, pale green leaves flushed pale pink are covered with silvery white hairs, giving a misty appearance. Tall spikes of starry pale pink flowers produced from mature rosettes, die off after flowering in summer and are replaced by new offsets
