An attractive, clump-forming, rhizomatous, herbaceous perennial bred by Cedric Morris is the 1950s but not introduced until 1983. Upright, strap-like, green leaves are followed by erect stems in late spring and early summer bearing elegant flowers with cream-white upper petals, known as standards, and creamy white lower petals, known as falls, fringed with yellow and with yellow beards
