A compact, clump-forming, deciduous perennial with heart-shaped pale green leaves with a steel blue margin in spring, when in summer, the leaf center brightens to gold and the margins deepen to blue-green. At maturity the leaves are almost completely blue with just a bolt of yellow in the center. It is a sport of ‘Bright Lights’ with wider margins and a stronger growth rate. Upright stems of lavender-near white flowers appear in early to mid-summer
