A perennial bulb, to around 15cm high, with narrow, grey-green leaves. Nodding white flowers are produced in late winter, with curving outer petals brushed with green at the tips, and inner petals marked with an upside down 'v' shape that diffuses upwards towards the base. Mature bulbs will usually produce two flowers each once established, though only the larger flower will have markings on the outer petals
