A genus of annual, semi-parasitic herbaceous plants with toothed green leaves and white flowers with purple veining and yellow centres, smilar to violets. They are mainly found in grassland areas, meadows and on exposed heathland. They are very useful for keeping grasses at bay due to their parasitic nature, allowing wildflower species to thrive
