A clump-forming evergreen perennial, that reaches approiximately 1.2m in height, with broad strap-like dark green leaves and large rounded heads of light blue, tubular flowers that have a central dark blue stripe on the petals in summer.

Grow in fertile, moist but well-drained soil in full sun or grow in a container. In cold areas, mulch well overwinter and take containers under cover. See agapanthus cultivation
Propagate by division every three to four years in spring
In late autumn tidy up evergreen leaves, but seedheads can be left as they look attractive over winter.
